Local business leader MCM Business Systems has more to celebrate this year than their 21 st anniversary of excellent sales and service in West Virginia. On June 6, business owners Roger and Suzi Lehosit were on-hand at the Konica Minolta Annual Honor Council event to accept the region’s most prestigious honor: 2004 Northeastern Dealer of the Year. The event, which took place at the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, is an annual gathering of Konica Minolta’s most successful dealers throughout the nation, a distinction that MCM Business Systems has carried with them since 1990. On hand to present Lehosit with the award was Steve Laughey, regional sales manger for Konica Minolta. “Our industry becomes more competitive and demanding every year. But this didn’t stop MCM Business systems from having another successful year,” said Laughey. “Roger and Suzi put together a great team that solved the business challenges for many, many companies and organization this past year. I thank everyone at MCM Business Systems for their efforts in the past and wish them continued success in the years to come.” Roger is also quick to thank the employees at MCM Business Systems, who he believes are the heart and soul of what makes this local business so great. “Without the hard work and support of everyone who works at MCM, being Northeastern Dealer of the Year would never have been possible. We like to use the term “Team MCM” when referring to our organization as a whole, because everyone truly does work together to get the job done, and without that team effort, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve our goal, let alone surpass it the way we did.” That original goal ended with MCM Business Systems achieving a sales increase of 347% over the previous year, making them 2 nd in the nation for Konica Minolta increased sales. This superb level of excellence also helped MCM Business Systems be recognized as a Konica Minolta Top Achiever. Laughey explains, “To be named a Top Achiever means that the dealership has not only earned membership in the Honor Council, but has also stood out from other Konica Minolta dealers.” When asked how she feels about MCM receiving such an outstanding honor, Suzi Lehosit is quick to agree with her husband. “MCM has been so lucky and successful here in WV because of the people. It started out over 20 years ago as a family business in our garage, and even through our growth we still feel closely connected to our employees and the community that honors such as this are only an added blessing.” |
